Government approves E-Vehicle Policy to bolster India's manufacturing prowess, says Commerce and Industry Ministry. Under the policy, a company will be required to make a minimum investment of USD 500 million or Rs 4,150 crore.

"The Himachal Pradesh government is promoting e-vehicles in the state. The transport department has become the first department to replace it's official vehicle fleet with e-vehicles and the other departments are to follow the same analogy", stated Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu
