"The Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA) between India and EFTA covers wide-ranging matters such as trade in goods and services, rules of origin, intellectual property rights (IPR), investment promotion, trade facilitation, and sustainable development," a source elaborated.

The diplomatic row erupted after Pitfield's remarks during a consultation meeting on Tuesday, where she criticized India's rice procurement program at the Minimum Support Price (MSP), alleging that it was being utilized not for the benefit of Indian citizens but to gain an edge in the global export market.

President Murmu said that India attaches the highest priority to its friendship with Bangladesh, and "we are committed to realizing its full potential". 

"For Greece, the strategic partnership between our two countries is of particular importance and we will have the opportunity to discuss a wide range of topics including strategic partnership, and fostering our economic engagement," he told the media personnel. 

A statement by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said that India has constituted a high-level probe panel after the US shared inputs on security concerns.
