The Allahabad High Court's recent decision to annul the merit list for the recruitment of 69,000 primary teachers in Uttar Pradesh has been met with approval from various political leaders.

Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav announced on Tuesday that he will be resigning from the Karhal Assembly seat in Uttar Pradesh. This decision comes as he currently holds two seats, having also won the Kannauj Lok Sabha constituency.

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi and Samajwadi Party MP Dimple Yadav will jointly hold a roadshow in Varanasi on May 25 in support of INDIA bloc candidate Ajay Rai. Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav may also hold a roadshow on May 28 or 29.

In traditionally safe Lok Sabha constituencies dominated by the late Mulayam Singh Yadav's family, such as Mainpuri, Kannauj, Firozabad, and Azamgarh, candidates from the Yadav family face challenges amid aggressive BJP campaigning.
