The Calcutta High Court had allowed the BJP to stage a dharna outside the Raj Bhavan on July 14 for four hours in protest of post-poll violence.

Their dharna entered the fourth day on Tuesday as they staged the sit-in on the West Bengal assembly premises on June 27, 28 and July 1.

Around 4.30 pm, the TMC leaders ended their protest and walked out of the police station while raising slogans accusing the BJP of turning central agencies into its “branch office”.
