A police spokesperson said the Criminal Investigations Department conducted simultaneous raids in the Colombo suburbs of Madiwela and Battaramulla and the western coastal town of Negombo, leading to the seizure of 135 mobile phones and 57 laptops.

The male detainees are currently held in Nabha Jail, Patiala, while the female detainees are in Ropar District Jail.
