MP Sandeep Pathak said, "Kejriwal was arrested as part of a big conspiracy. It is the first time that a sitting chief minister has been arrested during the Lok Sabha polls. We are launching the campaign 'Jail Ka Jawab Vote Se' and we want you to empower Kejriwal." 

AAP had contested Lok Sabha polls in the state in 2014 but drew a blank and its candidates lost by huge margins. But its candidates can dent the Congress vote bank in assembly by-elections in six constituencies going to polls simultaneously on June 1.

The aggressive posture adopted by the Bharatiya Janata Party in Punjab, inducting two sitting MPs, one each from both the parties last week, has forced the two warring parties to reconsider their positions towards each other.
