Recent claims of rainwater leaking from the roof of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple's sanctum sanctorum have stirred controversy. The temple's chief priest, Acharya Satyendra Das, alleged that rainwater had leaked from the roof directly above the spot where he sits in front of Ram Lalla's idol.

Traditionally, the deity underwent morning rituals starting at 4 AM, followed by darshan from 6 AM.
