State Congress Chief Keshav Mahto Kamlesh responded to the speculation by asserting that the coalition had always shown respect to Soren. 

His comment hinting that he may quit the JMM came shortly after he reached Delhi amid speculation about a potential switch to the BJP.

The ruling party in Jharkhand also said the "entire responsibility" for the train accident "lies with the railway minister and the central government".

Hemant Soren, former Chief Minister of Jharkhand, has once again taken the reins of the state government following the resignation of Champai Soren. The change in leadership was formalized as Hemant Soren met with Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan on July 3 and staked his claim to form a new government.
