According to police, Yediyurappa has been booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, and Section 354 A (sexual harassment) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

The court took cognisance of the BJP leader’s advanced age and age-related ailments and put his detention on hold till the next date of hearing.

Earlier, the BJP called BS Yediyurappa’s arrest warrant as a revenge against Rahul Gandhi’s defamation case.
