A girl from Gujarat who had secured 705 out of 720 in the NEET-UG later failed her Class 12 (science) board exams, leaving her ineligible for college admission. 

Leading the pack was Chandrachur Sen, a student from Cooch Behar district's Rambhola High School. Sen secured a remarkable 99% (693 marks), securing the coveted top rank.

Rohit Chauhan (18) hanged himself from a ceiling fan at his home in Surajpur village in Paonta. He studied in a government school in Puruwala, they said. 

The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA), unveiled the outcomes on Saturday, revealing an overall pass percentage of 75.7 percent for the High School Leaving Certificate (HSCL) examination conducted in February-March this year.

The apex court even warned the Karnataka government against spoiling the entire education system.

While no board official gave any details of the said “circumstances”, sources in some CISCE-affiliated schools in the city claimed that the question paper was reportedly leaked on social media before commencement of the exams.

“The number of students and examination centres has decreased this year as compared to last year due to the prevailing law and order situation,” COHSEM Chairman T Ojit Singh said.

One of the objectives of the new National Education Policy (NEP), unveiled in 2020, is to reduce the academic stress on students, Pradhan said on Monday after launching the PM SHRI (Prime Minister Schools for Rising India) scheme in Chhattisgarh under which 211 schools of the state will be upgraded.
