Defence Minister Rajnath Singh recently articulated the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) aspiration for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to secure not only a third but also a fourth consecutive term in office.

In a dramatic turn of events in Bihar's political arena, the Congress party has announced its intention to seek the disqualification of two party MLAs who recently defected to the BJP-led NDA coalition. The move underscores growing tensions within the state's political landscape and raises questions about the integrity of democratic principles.

Yadav stated, "I am thankful to our leader of the House and other NDA leaders for providing me this opportunity. I have assured all legislators of the House that I will remain impartial while delivering the constitutional duty." 

"We in the NDA have a total strength of 128 MLAs. In the 243-strong assembly, we are comfortably placed. All our MLAs will be present inside the House where a no-confidence motion against the Speaker will precede the trust vote", said a JDU leader.

"I am not going to resign. I will be in the assembly on February 12 and conduct proceedings of the House as per rules," Chaudhary told reporters. The Nitish Kumar government is also scheduled to seek a trust vote.

The narrative of Nitish Kumar's political journey is marked by multiple switches in alliances, earning him the moniker "Paltu Ram" (one who changes sides).

The senior Congress leader went on to allege that Prime Minister Narendra Modi masterminded Kumar's betrayal.
