In a surprising turn of events, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's eagerly awaited state visit to Bhutan has been postponed due to adverse weather conditions affecting the region.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has graciously accepted the invitation extended by Bhutanese Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay for an official visit to Bhutan next week, marking a significant development in the bilateral relations between the two nations.

The talks took place hours after Tobgay began a five-day visit to India, his first foreign trip after assuming charge of the top office in January. Tobgay was received at the airport in the national capital by Union Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey.

The Bhutanese premier's itinerary further includes a scheduled visit to Mumbai.
