Agriculture and Farmer Welfare Minister Arjun Munda, Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal, and Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai will meet the farmer leaders over their various demands, including a law guaranteeing Minimum Support Price (MSP) for crops.

Union Agriculture Minister Arjun Munda said on Tuesday that a law guaranteeing MSP cannot be brought in a hurry without consulting all stakeholders. He urged farmer groups to have a structured discussion with the government on the issue.

The clashes resulted in 24 police personnel sustaining serious injuries. Among them, 15 were injured during duty at the Shambhu Border, including DSP and other ranks, while 9 were injured at the Datta Singh Border in Jind. 

In an interview with reporters, Munda also cautioned the protesting farmers to be "aware and alert" about some elements which could defame their protest for political benefits.

Thousands of tractors from different regions of Punjab will assemble, with plans to reach midway by Monday afternoon. The farmers intend to sleep overnight in their tractors on roadsides and proceed towards Delhi based on the outcome of ongoing talks.

The state's border with Punjab at Shambhu near Ambala district is sealed with concrete blocks, sandbags, barbed wire, and anti-riot vehicles on the road. 

The protestors, led by the Bharatiya Kisan Parishad (BKP), said they will continue the protest as before and once again attempt to march to Delhi after the Budget Session of Parliament is over.
