External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar paid a visit to the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi on Sunday, emphasising its significance as a cultural bridge between India and the UAE. He described the temple as a symbol of the strong friendship shared between the two nations, radiating a positive message globally.

The temple would be open from 9 am to 8 pm on all days except Monday when it would be closed for visitors. 

The Shapoorji Pallonji Group, with a legacy spanning 159 years, has left its mark across the globe. Notable projects include the Sultan's Palace in Muscat and recent endeavours such as Bharat Mandapam and Kartavya Path in New Delhi, Port Blair Airport, and the Atal Tunnel in Himachal Pradesh.

Attired in a light pink silk dhoti and kurta, complemented by a sleeveless jacket and stole, the Prime Minister participated in the temple's dedication rituals. 

Upon his arrival, PM Modi received a guard of honour, highlighting the significance of his visit.

Prime Minister Modi will pay a two-day visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) beginning Tuesday during which he will hold wide-ranging talks with President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and inaugurate the first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi.

Constructed across 27 acres amidst the desert sands of Abu Dhabi, the BAPS Hindu Mandir stands as a testament to architectural splendour, crafted from pink limestone and white marble.
