Brigadier General (retd) M Sakhawat Hussain, the newly appointed Home Affairs Ministry adviser, gave this assurance during a meeting with a delegation from the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) Bangladesh on Thursday, according to a report in the Dhaka Tribune.

Sarma stressed that the Centre is handling the situation with caution, focusing on ensuring the safety of those affected while maintaining strict vigilance along the Indo-Bangladesh border.

The Cabinet was formed through a series of discussions among student leaders, civil society, and the military earlier in the week, reflecting a broad spectrum of non-political actors in Bangladesh.
