As per reports, the BCB (Bangladesh Cricket Board) has written to Bangladesh’s army chief of staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman seeking security assurance for organising the tournament slated to take place from October 3-20.

This heightened security came after a faction of student protestors called for renewed demonstrations, despite a recent withdrawal of protests by their coordinators.
