Despite this relief, approximately 1.5 lakh people across seven districts continue to endure the deluge, according to a bulletin from the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA).

The districts currently submerged in floodwaters include Cachar, Karimganj, Morigaon, Hojai, Nagaon, Dima Hasao, Hailakandi, and West Karbi Anglong. A total of 19 revenue circles in these districts are affected.
