The Uttar Pradesh BJP chief, Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, recently met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. This meeting, which lasted about an hour, comes at a critical time as the party is reviewing its performance in the Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh. The BJP, despite its stronghold in the Hindi heartland, did not perform as expected, prompting the need for introspection and strategy adjustments.

The Uttar Pradesh government, under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's leadership, has embarked on an ambitious mission to enhance the state's green cover. This year, the government aims to plant a staggering 350 million saplings, with the collective support of its citizens. The ultimate goal is to expand Uttar Pradesh's green areas from the current 9% to 15% by the year 2026-27.

In a tweet on X, Adityanath hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for paving the way for making India a five-trillion-dollar economy and thanked Union Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman for the Budget.
