Airbus, a global leader in aerospace innovation, has received a significant nod of approval from India's aviation regulator, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), for its cutting-edge H160 helicopter.

The momentous pact, finalized amid French President Emmanuel Macron’s recent Republic Day visit to India, signifying a collaborative effort to bolster indigenous manufacturing capabilities in the aerospace sector.

India will need 2,840 new aircraft and 41,000 pilots as well as 47,000 technical staff in the next 20 years, Rémi Maillard, President and Managing Director of Airbus India and South Asia said.
