While the court convicted and sentenced 12 individuals, including Irfan and Hamir-Ul-Uddin, to life imprisonment under the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act (TADA), Tunda's acquittal has prompted the CBI to file an appeal in the Supreme Court.
