NHAI may cancel eight more highway projects in Punjab, totaling 293 km and Rs 14,288 crore, if the law and order situation doesn't improve, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari warned Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann.

The elections to 13,241 Panchayats are due following their dissolution and the appointment of administrators.

Amritpal’s legal adviser, Imaan Singh Khara, informed on Tuesday that the plea by the radical Sikh leader was submitted to the Punjab government via the jail superintendent under Section 15 of the NSA on June 9.

Under the Ashirwad scheme, financial assistance of Rs 51,000 is provided for the marriage or remarriage of a woman belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC), Backward Classes (BC), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS). 

"AAP has committed the biggest betrayal with one crore women of Punjab above 18 years of age, who are still waiting to get Rs 1,000 per month," he said.

Along with the NOC, Sidhu has also been provided with a 'no dues' certificate, indicating clearance of outstanding government dues. This development brings a sense of relief to Sidhu, who is gearing up to file her nomination papers for the upcoming June 1 Lok Sabha elections.

Among these 13 faces representing the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Punjab for Lok Sabha polls, the party did not field any 'female' nominee.  

The announcement was made by the party's national general secretary Sandeep Pathak via post on X.

The AAP leaders claimed that they got phone calls from people linked to the BJP. These callers promised them a huge amount of money if they switched sides. 

A few days back, Kumar's switching rumours swirled which he then refuted at the time. 

Bhatia stated, "This time, from Punjab, BJP will win all the 13 seats. The BJP has emerged as the voice of the people. We will win the elections with a total majority. BJP will win more than 370 seats in the country whereas the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will win more the 400 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls". 

MLA Sheetal Angural refuting the rumours on Sunday notified that the latter is in Delhi for business and would soon be back to Jalandhar.
