CM Sarma also announced that doctors from the nearby civil hospital would provide free monthly health check-ups to the elderly residents.

The assurance was given by the Election Commission after the TMC leaders raised concerns about several Aadhaar cards being deactivated in West Bengal.

She also asserted that such a “deactivation” exercise was against regulations and in gross violation of natural justice.
