West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee sustained injuries on Saturday after she lost her balance while boarding a helicopter in Durgapur.

The incident occurred when Banerjee was about to take her seat inside the chopper, which was waiting to take off.

Reportedly, Banerjee suffered minor injuries and was promptly assisted by her security personnel. Despite the mishap, she continued with her scheduled trip to Asansol.

This is not the first time Banerjee has faced such an incident. In May, she was hospitalised after falling near her home in Kolkata, resulting in a deep cut on her forehead.

Similarly, in June 2023, she suffered a leg injury during an emergency landing of her helicopter due to bad weather near Siliguri.

According to a senior office accompanying Banerjee, she lost her balance while attempting to sit inside the helicopter, leading to the fall. However, the officer assured that she is fine following the incident.

Following the incident, Banerjee proceeded to Kulti where she addressed a rally in support of the Trinamool Congress's Asansol candidate Shatrughan Sinha.

Here is the video.
