TN hooch liquor tragedy death toll rises to 53

Tamil Nadu's Kallakurichi hooch liquor tragedy death toll on Saturday rose to fifty-three. The condition of 140 people is currently stable, the administration officials further informed.  

 

At least 140 of the 193 individuals admitted to various government medical facilities after consuming spurious liquor on Tuesday night are currently in stable condition, according to Kallakurichi district collector M. S. Prasanth. 

"So far 53 people have passed away. Seven people have been arrested in connection with the spurious liquor tragedy," he told reporters after visiting the victims at the Kallakurich government hospital.
