Senior rapes medical student on hospital roof in Gujarat, police apprehends accused

A senior medical student has been arrested on suspicion of raping a junior at Vadodara Gotri Hospital, according to the police. The alleged incident occurred when the final-year medical student purportedly took a second-year student to the hospital's roof and assaulted her, according to a report by news agency ANI.

 

Both individuals had initially met during their internship at the same medical college and later developed a friendship. However, according to police reports, a disagreement arose between them over time.

 

The accused reportedly threatened the victim, claiming to possess recordings of her phone conversations. Subsequently, under the pretext of deleting these recordings, the victim was lured to the hospital's roof, where the alleged assault took place, according to police statements.

 

Following the incident, the victim approached the police the next day and filed a complaint.

 

The authorities have since apprehended the accused.
