During the strike, fuel pump stations across the state will not engage in any fuel transactions.

Fuel pump stations in Rajasthan are set to close for two days starting Sunday as the state's petroleum dealers association calls for a strike, demanding a reduction in the value-added tax (VAT) on petrol and diesel.

The symbolic strike, organized by the Rajasthan Petroleum Dealers Association, is scheduled to commence from 6:00 a.m. on March 10 and will persist until 6:00 a.m. on March 12.

"The Rajasthan government has failed to decrease VAT on petrol and diesel despite Prime Minister Narendra Modi's assurance. Additionally, oil companies have neglected to increase dealer commissions for the past seven years. In light of these concerns, a strike has been initiated," stated Rajendra Singh Bhati, President of the Association.

During the strike, petroleum dealers across the state will abstain from purchasing or selling any fuel. Furthermore, they plan to conduct a demonstration in the city on Monday, according to the association.
