Death sentence for Haryana wrestling coach who killed 6

A former wrestling coach in Rohtak, Haryana, was handed a death sentence by the Additional District and Sessions Judge Gagan Geet Kaur for the murder of six individuals, including a couple and their four-year-old son, in February 2021.

A former wrestling coach in Rohtak, Haryana, was handed a death sentence by the Additional District and Sessions Judge Gagan Geet Kaur for the murder of six individuals, including a couple and their four-year-old son, in February 2021.

Sukhvinder, a resident of Sonipat district, was responsible for the killing of Manoj Malik, Sakshi Malik, and their son Sartaj, along with wrestling coaches Satish Kumar and Pardeep Malik, and wrestler Pooja. 

The verdict came after Sukhvinder was found guilty of murder and other charges during the trial held on Monday, with the sentencing pronouncement occurring on Thursday.

 

In addition to Sukhvinder's conviction, his accomplice Manoj Kumar was also found guilty of supplying weapons to Sukhvinder and was sentenced to three years in prison.

 

Sukhvinder, a resident of Sonepat district, was responsible for the killing of Manoj Malik, Sakshi Malik, and their son Sartaj, along with wrestling coaches Satish Kumar and Pardeep Malik, and wrestler Pooja.

The incident occurred at a wrestling venue near a private college in Rohtak, where Sukhvinder had committed the crime following the termination of his services due to complaints against him. One person, Amarjeet, was injured in the attack.
