10 die as car rams truck on Ahd-Vadodara Expressway

Ten people were killed and one critically injured after  a car hit a truck on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway on Wednesday, reports say.

 

The car was travelling from Vadodara to Ahmedabad and hit the truck from the rear. Ten people, including the driver and passengers, died in the crash.

 

Eight people were killed on the spot, two died on way to the hospital, police said.

 

The injured person is being treated in hospital

 

Police are investigating the case.

 

Traffic remained blocked on the expressway for a considerable period after the accident.
