India's dominant performance in the third Test against England continued as Yashasvi Jaiswal's unbeaten 149 and Shubman Gill's elegant 91 guided them to a commanding total of 314 for 4 at lunch on day 4, extending their overall lead to 440 runs.

 

Starting the day at 196 for 2, India encountered the dismissals of Gill, who fell short of a century, and night-watchman Kuldeep Yadav (27).

 

Jaiswal, who had retired hurt at 104 on Saturday due to back spasms, returned to the crease on day 4 with determination. His innings, studded with 11 fours and seven sixes, were pivotal in India's strong position.

 

Accompanying Jaiswal at the break was Sarfaraz Khan (22), consolidating India's formidable lead.

 

England's bowlers managed to pick up wickets sporadically, with Rehan Ahmed (1/64), Joe Root (1/80), and Tom Hartley (1/78) each claiming a scalp on Sunday.
