Union Home Minister Amit Shah's comments in a recent interview with a vernacular daily, have raised eyebrows over the stability of the coalition government in Bihar.

Responding to queries about the potential reentry of former allies, including Bihar Chief Minister and JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar, into the NDA fold, Shah indicated that any proposal in this regard would be considered.

The remarks have been interpreted as a noteworthy acknowledgment that doors may not be closed on Nitish Kumar, who parted ways with the BJP less than two years ago.

When asked about Shah's statements, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav expressed uncertainty, stating, "I do not know. Maybe you people have better knowledge of what Amit Shah wanted to imply," as reported by PTI.

Shah's statement triggered a series of meetings among leaders from both the ruling coalition and the Opposition BJP. Notably, gatherings were held at Nitish Kumar's residence and at the house of Vijay Kumar Sinha, the Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly on Friday.

After the meetings, Tejashwi Yadav addressed reporters and strongly criticised the BJP, accusing the party of spreading rumors. He attributed the BJP's statements to frustration over the alliance between Lalu Yadav and Nitish Kumar, boldly stating that the BJP would be "washed off" from Bihar's political sphere due to its perceived frustration, leading the leaders to engage in "rumor mongering."

Highlighting the collaborative efforts in the state government, Tejashwi Yadav emphasized the need for regular meetings to ensure swift development. He also sought clarity from the BJP on the number of seats they plan to contest in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, as Bihar has a total of 40 Lok Sabha seats.

In response to speculation regarding dissatisfaction within the Opposition INDIA bloc, Tejashwi Yadav reassured that "all is well."
