Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaffirmed India's unwavering support for achieving an early and peaceful resolution to the Russia-Ukraine conflict during a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Wednesday.

 

In their discussion, Modi reiterated India's people-centric approach and stressed the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in resolving the ongoing conflict, echoing sentiments conveyed earlier to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

 

In a statement shared on social media platform X, Modi expressed, "Had a constructive discussion with President @ZelenskyyUa on bolstering the India-Ukraine partnership. Reiterated India's steadfast backing for peace efforts and the expeditious conclusion of the current conflict. India remains committed to extending humanitarian aid, guided by our focus on the welfare of the people."

 

Additionally, Modi engaged in a conversation with Putin, extending congratulations on his recent re-election.

 

Zelenskyy commended India's continuous humanitarian support for the Ukrainian populace, as both leaders explored avenues to enhance bilateral cooperation across various domains.
