Yami Gautam starrer 'Article 370' declared tax free in Madhya Pradesh

The Madhya Pradesh government announced on Thursday its decision to exempt the recently released film "Article 370" from taxes.

 

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav conveyed the decision through a message in Hindi on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, emphasizing the film's role in enlightening citizens about the realities surrounding Article 370.

 

Yadav attributed the opening of significant development avenues in Jammu and Kashmir to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decision to revoke Article 370, which he described as removing a longstanding stigma.

 

Highlighting the film's importance, the Chief Minister stated that "Article 370" provides a valuable opportunity to comprehend the historical and contemporary circumstances in Jammu and Kashmir.

 

Starring Yami Gautam, the film delves into the escalation of terrorism in Kashmir and the government's efforts to combat it. It premiered nationwide on February 23.

 

On August 5, 2019, the Narendra Modi government annulled Article 370, thereby eliminating the special status accorded to Jammu and Kashmir and dividing it into two Union territories: Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
