No evidence of NEET-UG paper leak, says Pradhan

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday dismissed allegations of a paper leak in the NEET-UG medical entrance exam, asserting there is no evidence supporting such claims.

"There is no evidence of a paper leak in NEET-UG. The allegations of corruption in NTA are unfounded; it is a very credible body," Pradhan stated media persons.

 

Pradhan also noted that the Supreme Court is currently hearing the matter and the government will comply with its decision. "We will ensure no student is at a disadvantage," he added.

 

On Thursday, the Centre informed the Supreme Court that the decision to award grace marks to 1,563 NEET-UG 2024 candidates for admission to MBBS, BDS, and other courses has been rescinded.

 

These candidates will be given the option to retake the exam on June 23. If they choose not to retake the test, their previous marks, excluding the grace marks, will be considered for results.
