Swiggy launches 'Swiggy Pawlice' initiative to help find missing pets

In a bid to aid pet parents in their search for missing pets, Swiggy has announced 'Swiggy Pawlice,' leveraging its vast network of delivery partners.

 

To coincide with National Pet Day on April 11, Swiggy rolled out this feature, allowing pet owners to report missing pets directly through the Swiggy app, complete with details and photos.

 

CEO Rohit Kapoor expressed empathy for pet owners, stating, "As a pet parent myself, I understand first-hand the worry and anguish that accompanies the thought of a pet going missing."

 

The initiative taps into Swiggy's extensive network of over 3.5 lakh delivery partners, who, due to their mobility, are uniquely positioned to aid in pet search efforts.

 

Delivery partners are instructed to report any sightings of missing pets to Swiggy's team, who will then share the information with the pet owner.

 

However, they are advised not to attempt retrieval themselves.
